Privacy Policy
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how CleanUp: Phone Cleaner ("CleanUp"), provided by Tripleace, handles information. The Android package is com.tripleace.phonecleaner. It covers media cleaning, compression, app management, contacts tools, and optional cleanup reminders.
2. Information processed on your device
- Photos and videos: accessible media, thumbnails, file identifiers, names, sizes, dimensions, dates, and video duration to find similar or blurry photos, screenshots, large media, and compression candidates.
- Analysis results: image fingerprints, sharpness scores, grouping and scan cache records. Face detection can locate face regions to help distinguish a sharp portrait from a blurry photo; it is not used to identify people or build an identity profile.
- Installed apps: visible launcher app names, package identifiers, icons, and installation-file sizes to display an app list and request uninstallation of your selections. These sizes may not include private app data or caches.
- App usage: when you grant Usage Access, recent foreground usage durations help organize the app list. You can browse available apps without granting Usage Access.
- Contacts: accessible names, phone numbers, and contact identifiers to find duplicates or incomplete entries and merge selected duplicates.
- Preferences: onboarding and permission-guide state, selection/review progress, scan caches, and cleanup reminder settings.
Our app code processes media, contacts, app inventory, and usage history locally and does not upload these contents to Tripleace servers. Compression uses local files and saves output copies to the device media library. The app does not require a user account or operate a cloud photo backup service. SDK technical telemetry is described separately below.
3. Google ML Kit and technical information
CleanUp uses the bundled Google ML Kit Face Detection SDK for face-region checks during photo-quality analysis. Image processing and detection results stay on the device; ML Kit does not send these input images or detection outputs to Google servers. See ML Kit Terms & Privacy.
Google documents that its Android ML Kit SDK collects technical information for diagnostics and usage analytics, including device model and operating system, app package/version, installation identifiers, performance measurements, API configuration, input/output sizes, SDK events, and error codes. This telemetry is distinct from photo contents, contacts, and your app usage history. Collected telemetry is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. See Google’s ML Kit data disclosure and Google’s Privacy Policy.
This release does not integrate AdMob or Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics. It does not display advertising, offer Pro purchases, or run a purchase flow. Google Play Billing Library 8.3.0 and its Android permission are included for future product preparation. This release does not start a BillingClient, query purchases, or initiate payment; no purchase tokens or payment details are processed by our app. If these features change, this policy will be updated.
4. Permissions and controls
- Photos and videos / storage: allow scanning, previews, compression and selected cleanup operations. On supported Android versions you can limit access to selected media.
- Read and write contacts: allow contact analysis and requested duplicate aggregation. Changes use Android’s contacts provider; your configured contacts account may sync those changes under its own policies.
- Usage Access: optional access for recent app usage information. Revoke it in Android Settings; the app list remains available with reduced usage detail.
- Request app deletion: opens Android’s uninstall confirmation for selected apps. Selecting apps alone does not uninstall them.
- Notifications and boot events: support optional cleanup reminders and their rescheduling after a device restart.
- Network access: allows SDK technical communication and external links where used; it is not used by our app code to upload your library or contacts.
You can revoke permissions or disable reminders in the app or Android Settings. Declining a permission limits the corresponding feature. CleanUp does not request camera, microphone, precise location, or SMS access for its current features.
5. Sharing and support
We do not sell your media, contacts, app list, or usage history, and do not use them for advertising targeting. Google processes SDK technical information as described above. Android, your media or contacts providers, device backup services, and Google Play may handle information independently under their own terms.
If you email support, we receive the email address and information you choose to send, such as your message or screenshots. Do not send passwords, payment details, or unnecessary personal information. We use support correspondence to respond and resolve issues. Information we hold may also be disclosed when legally required, to protect rights or security, or in a lawful business transfer.
Where required by applicable data protection law, processing is based on providing requested features, consent where required, legitimate interests in support and reliability, or legal obligations, as applicable.
6. Retention, deletion and security
Local settings and scan records remain until cleared by app controls where available, Android’s clear-app-data function, or uninstallation. Scan records may also be replaced or removed when the library changes. Temporary compression files are cleaned up after the operation; compressed output copies remain in your media library until you remove them. Clearing CleanUp data or uninstalling CleanUp does not delete your media library, installed apps, or existing contacts.
Media cleanup uses Android’s supported trash confirmation. Restoration and trash retention depend on Android and your media provider; use the device gallery or provider’s trash controls. Contact merging may sync to your contacts account and is not a cloud deletion request to Tripleace. Android or manufacturer backup settings may retain local app data in backups.
Google-held SDK information follows Google’s retention practices. Support messages are retained only as needed for the request and applicable obligations; contact us to request deletion of information we control. Device clearing does not erase records held independently by Google or your backup provider.
We use Android app-private storage for local records and the platform’s permission protections. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.
7. Privacy rights and children
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, request portability, withdraw consent, or complain to a data protection authority. Contact us below. We may need to verify requests and can act only on information we control. For your local library, use the relevant device controls; for independently held provider data, contact that provider.
CleanUp is not directed to children. We do not knowingly seek children’s personal information. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information through our support channels so we can review it.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when features or providers change. We will revise the updated date and provide additional notice or consent where required.
